Cairo – Mubasher: Seven Egyptians who led their field have made it to Forbes Middle East’s 2019 Arabs 30 under 30 List.

The list features entrepreneurs and athletes from Egypt, the most populous Arab country, according to Forbes Middle East.

The 27 and 28-year-olds Egyptian duo Aya Abdel Raouf and Mounaz Abdel Raouf, the founders of the brand Okhtein, have joined the list for introducing iconic luxurious home-made leather bags and belts to Egypt’s fashion industry.

The two sisters, who collaborate with the Egyptian non-governmental organisations to reinforce local female workers, aim to promote Egyptian artistry in the world through innovative and edgy designs embodied in their brand.

Michael Farid, the 27-year-old co-founder of Spyce, has also captured a spot on Forbes’ list for creating a robot that turned the culinary industry upside-down with his friends.

“We were four really hungry MIT students and water polo teammates tired of spending $10 on take-out lunches and dinners,” Micheal Farid, Kale Rogers, Luke Schlueter, and Brandy Knight posted on their website.

The four engineers have opened their restaurant ‘Spyce’ in the northeastern US city of Boston, two years after building the robot at their fraternity’s basement.

The 27-year old Naguib Sawiris, founder of ‘Yup Technologies’, is also one of the seven Egyptians who made it to the list.

The San Fransisco-based entrepreneur has created Yup platform that enables students to access tutoring services through their phones.

“Our core belief is that you can build an education service around chat. It’s what students prefer,” Sawiris told Forbes.

It is no doubt that the 26-year old Egyptian footballer Mohamed Salah has seized a place on the list.

The Liverpool forward has made a successful football career on both the national and international basis, becoming an inspiration to numerous Arab youth.

Mo Salah has won several titles throughout his career including African Player of the Year 2018, FIFA Puskás Award 2018, PFA Players’ Player of the Year 2018, FWA Footballer of the Year 2018, and BBC African Footballer of the Year 2017.

Moreover, Alexandria-born squash player Mohamed ElShorbagy has landed a spot in the Forbes’ list.

ElShorbagy, whose rankings have been advancing since he was 15 years old, was the first player in history to secure a maiden PSA World Tour title at a five-star event, according to PSA Tour’s website.

Another professional squash player who made it to the list is Nour El Sherbini who has been awarded her third World Squash Champion trophy a few days ago.

The Alexandria-based 23-year-old has become the youngest woman to win the Women’s World Championship.

El Sherbini has been winning titles through her squash career including the 2019 J.P. Morgan Tournament of Champions.

Furthermore, the US-based founders of Instabug Omar Gabr and Moataz Soliman have also captured a spot in the list.

The 28-year-olds duo have founded their company in 2012 and developed software that issues bug reporting, crash reporting, in-app chats, and user surveys for mobile apps.

These Egyptians youth have dominated their fields and have become well-known for their brilliant work and effort.

Hopefully, Egypt will maintain success stories and celebrate its contribution to the region and the world.
